Here's what Jack Dawson's 'best girl' from Titanic looks like now
Titanicuniverse Titanicuniverse
THIS YEAR MARKS 20 years since James Cameron’s romantic epic Titanic first came into our lives.
We’re well aware what Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are up to these days, but what of the supporting cast? What became of them? Well.
At one stage in the film, the penniless Jack Dawson takes the wealthy Rose DeWitt Bukater down to party with the common folk in steerage.
There’s a huge knees-up, and Jack dances with a little girl called Cora Cartmell:

Even when he goes off to dance with Rose, he reassures Cora that she’s still his ‘best girl’.

“That’s alright Rose. Go on and steal my man.”
Actress Alex Owens-Sarno was just eight years old when she played Cora – now, 20 years on, she’s a grown-up gal with a septum piercing:
Her Instagram is packed with memories from her first film role, including pics of her with her ‘Titanic parents’ and larking about with Leo and Kate on set.
Sitting in his lap, not a bother.
Alex told Buzzfeed that she feels lucky to have worked with “two of the best actors out there”, and that Leo was a “doll”:
Alex is still acting, but these days she focuses more on comedy than heart-wrenching drama – she’s currently writing a sketch show and working on a novel.
Still the best girl then.
